LG5A型40毫米半自动空炸榴弹发射器系统配备机械瞄具、白光瞄准镜、光电瞄具，发射BGJ5型40毫米狙击破甲杀伤弹及其他40×53毫米系列弹药。以两脚架抵肩射击为主，也可三脚架驻地射击，主要用于杀伤600米内坚固工事内有生目标，毁伤800米内轻型装甲目标，压制800米内火力点，杀伤2200米内集群有生目标。

General

The LG5A 40mm semi- automatic air-blast grenade launcher system is equipped with mechanical sight, white light sight and photoelectric sight. It can fire BGJ5 40mm sniper armor-breaking anti-personnel grenades and other 40×53mm series ammunition. The LG4A 40mm medium- velocity revolver grenade launcher is a type of semi-automatic light fire support weapon for individual soldiers with a bearing volume of 6 rounds and is equipped with holographic sight. It generally shoots a BGL2 40mm grenade or BGJ2 40mm armor grenade and is used for killing clustered organic targets within 700 meters or destructing light-armored targets within 400 meters.
